ABOUT MAGGIE BEUTNER
maggie beutner cheung (she/her) is a performance artist based in Lenapehoking/Brooklyn, New York.
she grew up performing musically driven and precision-based tap and jazz. maggie holds a BFA in Dance from the University of North Texas where her studies focused in Bartenieff Fundamentals, Laban Movement Analysis, improvisation, ballet, and release technique.
maggie has been performing professionally in nyc since 2015. notable past artistic and performance collaborations include her work with Brandon Welch, The Moving Architects, Caitlin Adams Studio, kaycruddenco, Britta Joy Peterson, and visual artist Gwen Charles, among others. she was a company artist with HEIDCO from 2018-2022 and the rehearsal director from 2020-2022.
maggie is a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher and teaches Vinyasa, Yin, and Yoga Nidra meditations.
currently, she collaborates with Steven Carmona, choreographing short dance films, and is a resident artist at Green Lung Studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
