"Vinegar Spirit" (20:00) is a contemporary dance work blending practices from choreography, sound, design, feminist theory to interrogate feminine agency, gendered comportment, and phenomenology. Creative research is packaged into a paradoxical performance piece where a solo is danced by two forms, sound is created by movement, fixed media is performed in creation and performance. Vinegar Spirit is an amalgamation of hyper-precision and wild abandon, control and randomization, conflict and acceptance, refined confinement and boundary-pushing spaciousness.
